KERYGMA CONFERENCE 2010
BO SANCHEZ AND LEADING PREACHERS SPEAK ON RESTORATION

Popular lay preacher Bo Sanchez speaks on Restoration, the theme of   Kerygma Conference 2010,   to be held at the Philippine Convention Center on November 26 -28, 2010.

Known as the biggest Catholic learning event, Kerygma Conference started out in 2006 as rallies of readers of the inspirational magazine founded by Bro. Bo which he named Kerygma, the Greek word for proclamation of the Gospel.

Bo was only 12 years old when his parents, Gene and Pilar, brought him to a prayer meeting. Seeing Bo, then a student at the Ateneo de Manila, the leader of the prayer meeting prophesied that he would be preaching to thousands – a prophecy now being fulfilled.
            
In 1980, Bo founded the Light of Jesus Family, a faith community that branched out to various ministries, the latest of which is the Feast, a Sunday prayer gathering at the PICC with Holy Mass, lively worship, and Bo’s talk on practical Christian living.

Bo, who was  awarded one of The Outstanding Young Men or TOYM for 2006 and the recipient of the ServiamAward, the highest award of the Catholic Mass Media Awards,  has partnered with various charitable organizations for orphans, street children, unwed mothers, and abandoned elderly who will be the beneficiaries of Kerygma Conference 2010.

Produced by Shepherd’s Voice Radio and Television, Kerygma Conference is now on its fourth year, attracting people from all walks of life.  This year’s three-day conference includes two days of conferences for various groups. Capping the conference on the third day will be  a Holy Mass, lively worship and powerful talk on spiritual restoration by Bro. Bo.

On November 26, Jon Escoto, president and chief executive officer of Leadlife Inc. (Center for Life Leadership), a training company that specializes in helping business organizations bring out the best in people, will lead the conference on Leadership Restoration: The Secret to Sustainability and Explosive Growth for leaders or those aspiring to be one.

On November 27, there will be  conferences to be held simultaneously in various function rooms of the PICC.

Marriage Restoration: The Secret to a Fantastic Family Life, for married couples, will be led by Pio Espanol, a longtime elder of the Light of Jesus Family. Espanol is the leader of the Light of Jesus Feast in the Rizal Province where he heads the Feast Taytay. A dedicated servant at the Light of Jesus, Bro. Pio has established LOJ chapters in the Visayas and as far as North America.

Singles Restoration: The Secret to a Blissful Journey, for single men and women, will be led by George Gabriel, the youngest Feast Builder, leading the Feast Pasig morning session at the Valle Verde Country Club. Gabriel serves as managing editor of FiSH, the award-winning inspirational youth magazine of Shepherd’s Voice Publications, and as creative director of Shepherd’s Voice Radio and TV Foundation. He also hosts and directs the inspirational youth television program Inside the FiSHbowl. He recently launched his first book, Love Life: Embrace the Person, the Experience, the Moment, a book about finding God in every situation.

Youth Restoration: The Secret To Level Up Living, for teenagers, will be led by Obet Cabrillas,  the builder of Feast Manila where a thousand students and young professionals gather and are spiritually nourished. Cabrillas is also the leader of Feast Pasig’s afternoon session for the youth. He serves as consultant of the Light of  Jesus Youth Missions and director of the Young Men’s Training for Character, Servanthood, and Leadership.

Single Parents Restoration: The Secret to Joyful Solo Parenting, for single parents, will be led by Hermie Morelos, an elder of the Light of Jesus, and  district builder for all the South Feasts comprising of Alabang, Sta. Rosa, and Imus, Cavite.

Happy Celibates Restoration: The Secret to Being Alone But Not Lonely, for those who have vowed to stay celibate, will be led by Vita Monforte,  longtime faith community leader who has been in the Charismatic Renewal for 33 years. Monforte heads the Liturgical Ministry of the Feast Manila Bay.  A chemical engineer graduate, she decided to serve fulltime in the Light of Jesus Family.

Faith Restoration: The Secret to Being a Happy Catholic will be led by Carl Fontanilla, an executive in a shipping company, and an elder in the Light of Jesus Family. Fontanilla has committed to go on missions in the Visayas and Mindanao to build prayer groups of the Light of Jesus and eventually establish the Feast in key areas in the south.

Inner Restoration, The Secret to Healing and Deliverance, will be led by Vic And Ditas Espanol,  a husband and wife team serving as counselors in the Light of Jesus, rendering practical strategies in building a loving family. Ditas provides the tips and tools to a caring, sensitive, and loving family while Vic amplifies them by culling out real stories from his counselling work and his own family too.

Kerygma Conference 2010 will also be held in Cebu City and Davao City on December 4, 2010.
