What is Kerygma Conference?
Kerygma Conference, or KCon, is an annual gathering of Light of Jesus Family members and other supporters of Catholic lay preacher and bestselling author Bro. Bo Sanchez. KCon is his brainchild. The conference is now on its fourth year.
What happens during the conference?
The basic elements of a Kerygma Conference are worship, entertainment, talk and Mass. This year, the first three elements will be incorporated in a classroom-type setting called streams to be held on the first two days of the event. Mass and another set of worship and entertainment will also be held in a plenary session style on the third day.
Where will it be held?
The first two days of the conference, November 26 and 27, will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). The event on November 28, called The Grand Feast, will be held at the Araneta Coliseum.
What is the KCon 2010 program?
An optional Leadership Restoration conference will be held on the first day, November 26. There will be seven simultaneous streams on the second day, November 27: Marriage Restoration, Singles Restoration, Youth Restoration, Faith Restoration, Inner Restoration, Single Parents Restoration, and Happy Celibates Restoration.
Why do all the streams have the "Restoration" word?
It's because that's the theme of KCon this year. It is based on 3 John 2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
How much is the registration fee?
If you attend from November 26 to 28, you'll pay P850. But if you join from November 27 to 28 only, you'll pay P500.
What if I pay P500 first then decide later I want to join the November 26 event?
Just show your November 27 ticket so you can join the November 26 event. But you can only do this at Feast gatherings, not at Ticketworld outlets, which also sells KCon tickets. And since there are limited seats at the Leadership Restoration, we strongly suggest you buy the November 26 to 28 package at once.
Do you give senior citizen discounts and other privileges?
Yes. The Senior Citizen Discount is government-mandated and we therefore abide to that. Just show your senior citizen card to avail of the 20% discount. We also give a Student Discount. If you are a high school or college student and you want to join the Youth Restoration conference, just show your school ID and you will get a P150 discount from the regular price.
Can I transfer from one stream to another?
Yes. You may change your mind and transfer stream before November 1. Please note that after November 1 and especially during the conference, you cannot move from one stream to another.
What if I just want to attend the November 28 event?
You are free to join the November 28 event as a walk-in attendee. You may line up at designated points outside Araneta to get your ticket during the day of the event. Priority seating, however, will be given to KCon participants.
Do I need to do anything to show that I'm a KCon participant during The Grand Feast?
You may line up at designated points and show your wristband ID.
What's a wristband ID and when do I get this?
The wristband ID is the means of identification for you to enter the streams. It is a strong, waterproof but lightweight wristband that comfortably adjusts to any wrist size and is easily applied to the wrist with an adhesive strip. They are color coded according to your stream. You may pick up your wristband ID starting October at the PICC Feast, and during conference dates at the PICC. Please make sure to show your ticket when claiming your ID.
What if I lost my wristband ID?
Then you may buy a new wristband ID at the Registration area.
Can I bring in food and drinks at PICC?
We are sorry but PICC does not allow for the bringing of food and drinks. Via Mare, the exclusive caterer for PICC, will sell food that will hopefully cater to your needs. You can, however, go out for lunch.
Are children allowed?
At present, children below 7 years old are not allowed at the PICC, which will be our venue for the first two days, since we don't have a children's ministry to take care of them. At the Araneta, venue for our November 28 event, children below 3 feet in height shall be allowed free entrance, but shall not be entitled as a matter of right to a seat.
Is there priority seating at the conference?
KCon 2010 is on a first-come, first-served basis. However, KCon participants will be on priority seating as compared to walk-in guests. We strongly advise that you don't reserve seats at the streams to be fair to those who come in early.
Will there be priority seats for the disabled and elderly at the Araneta?
Yes. Please line up at specially designated areas at the Red or Green gate entrances to get your ticket.
What should I wear?
PICC and Araneta Coliseum policy do not allow for the wearing of slippers, sandos and shorts.
Do you have a contact number I can call?
